Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
StoopSave ("we", "our", "us") helps neighbors share local deals and offers. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information: When you sign in, we collect your email address. We use passwordless sign-in (a 6-digit code sent to your email) — we never see or store passwords.
- Location (ZIP code): To show deals near you, the app converts your location to a ZIP code on your device. Your precise coordinates never leave your phone.
- Photos you share: When you scan and share a flyer or mailer, we store the photo so other neighbors can see the deal.
- Usage: We count views, saves, and reactions on offers to show what's popular. This is aggregated and never sold.
How we use it
- Show you deals near your ZIP code
- Send push notifications you asked for (keyword alerts, reminders, weekly digest)
- Keep the app working and improve it
What we don't do
- We never sell your personal information.
- We never share your precise location with anyone.
- We never show your email address to other users.
Push notifications
We use OneSignal to deliver push notifications. You can turn them off anytime in your device settings or in the app under You → Settings.
Data retention
Expired offers are paused (not deleted) so merchants keep their history. You can remove your own shared mailers anytime from You → My Posted Mailers. Deleting your account deletes your personal data.
Children
StoopSave is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll update this page if the policy changes. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
